| I agree. I've read his thorough discription of what he had to do to make that, and he did an excellent job of not making it ghetto, but taking the time to not only do something different, but to do it right. There are some of us who have encouraged him to look at producing it, though at this point there are no plans to. It takes more work to do than a regular CAI (moving the battery, fuse box, and PCM), but I would imagine that design, done right, would flow better than any other CAI out there. After all, there are only 2 bends! |

| That's almost exactly what I did....
I was gonna post a pic today but i couldn't get my scanner running. Mine goes down past where the stock airbox was and I just moved the fuse box up, cut the battery bracket so it would fit and ran the pipe down the fusebox hole. Most likely not as efficient cause mine comes down and bends but it's the same basic idea of running it through there.
Damn it. I highly doubt you would have called mine cool though. I'll see if I can get some pics soon though.

I guess this will give you an idea until I manage to get a pic. the red is where the pipe runs and the green in where my fuse box is. My battery is still in the same place.
edit: I also have some heatshield on the hose to keep a little heat off the intake.

| ^see, with that routing, there are still quite a few bends - pretty much the same as the regular CAI's. Kurt's has only 2 bends, which not only makes the design one that works with automatics, but also probably better-flowing than a regular CAI. I'd still prefer a metal intake tube, but the design is great. Not trying to dis' your work, barristo, but Kurt's design definately has advantages. |

I still think it was good that I thought of moving the fusebox and running it through there.
