this might be the worst 1) ebay listing for a 'mod/power chip evARRR' and 2) the worst mod/power chip evARRR!
*sigh* i wish ebay would have moderators like Spot..

| It's a resistor that makes the engine think it's getting less air than it really is, thus increasing the gas flow, no? |

| No, it tricks the pcm into thinking the incoming air is cooler than it really is. Cooler air is denser, thus the pcm adjusts the air/fuel ratio accordingly and make it run richer. Saturns already run rich the way it is, this is why chips and things like this do absolutely nothing for Saturns. |

so, since they run rich ( which i did not know ) theortically by just giving the engine more airi could pick up some hp? im not gonna go do anything to my saturn, with 146k on the clock and a tranny on the fritz its staying the was it it till i decide on whether to sell it or fix it.

Cold air intakes also have the advantage of bringing in air that's cooler and denser, since it's not coming from inside the engine compartment. A warm air intake will give you *maybe* as much as about 4 hp, while a really good cold air intake will give you *maybe* as much as 10 hp. That's at your peak power output, not across the board, though. |

thats what i was thinking. not really worth it. i mean im starting out with what ~95hp, and the cai might bump it to 100hp on a good day?
