Default Joey and 6th Planet Used Parts

Just got off of the phone with Joey. They are alive and coping getting ready for Ivan for when it will likely come through. They are some of the lucky ones that got hit. Still have a roof over their heads for now, damaged but a roof. No power, running on a generator to keep things going. Their house has shifted on its foundations due to all of the rain that they have had. The local river is 12 feet over its banks and this is a river that when we were there in April had banks 10-15 feet high or so. The ground is so saturated with water that his truck sinks to its rims in the grassed ground when he drives to the back of his property.

They are still getting their regular orders out. Joey says that if you need something order it and he will get it out. He has a good crew working for him now and they are working their backsides off for him at 6th Planet and helping him help people around them that are unable to help themselves at the moment.
He is still in business. If things ever get back to normal around there he will actually have time to post himself and let every one know what he has been through.

I wonder if god hates Florida? Maybe it is payback for all the hanging chad problems during the election.

Good luck to Joey!

tommy, thanks for relaying the messages.
scott reger, melissa got your email and you will be taken care of, as long as ivan doesnt pound us we will be returning to work tuesday.
like tommy said, the damages havent stopped since charley, the peace river is the highest its been in a century, literally 12 FEET OVER its banks which are apx 15 feet high, thats close to 30 FEET OVER flood stage, local camprgrounds, the canoe outpost are so far under water you can just see the tops of campers.
MANY are still homeless if you beleive the news that things are better handled since andrew dont beleive what youe hearing, we still have a employee living on the couch whos trailer home was literally leveled, as far as us, our home is in state farms castrophic category and yes it shifted on the foundation from 120 mph + winds from the south during charley
the side of my trucks now reads...
screwed by charley...
nipped in the fanny by franny...
(my ass hurts!) lol
franny came through at sustained 60 mph at my house, just enough to knock us back two weeks worth of CONSTANT chainsawing and digging out, almost every large to huge oak tree on our pand was either knocked down, broke in half, or in numoerous places
you CANNOT get screws, plywod, generators NOTHING it is literally a zoo from the east coast to the west and all the way north up floridas peniisula. people are driving all day to get plywood when they hear its in a certain area
CHEERS TO LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT before franny kicked our fanny they brought in trucks of FREE plywood no strings attached, it takes apx 30 boards to do our home and barn, our barn has been flooded and our back pature you simply cant dirve anything in.
yesterday i tried to get a pump switch out of my barn as my water sytem was destroyed by falling trees and running on bypass (we put bleach into the sytem tanks directly to cope with the suplhar water smell) the tahoe went down to the axles i hit the 4WD button and NOTHING, sun of a bee yotch, took half a morning but thanks to tommy and danny digging up some info we got it to engage and disengage, evey step is a struggle, every day a small vicotyr or set back.
ivans bearing down on the SAME course charley was, they say it may go a little west of us but since charley slammed us head on and they ALSO predicted it would not hit us i dont trust the weather reports. our house is in a wekaened state, the roof has patchs all over it and some of the plywood under the shingles is pushed in from heavy branchs that whacked us during charley.
NUMEROUS, numerous electrcial appliances are damaged, our deep freeze, three satelitte boxs, two stereos, we got directly hit by lightning and hence many electrical problems in the house, cant get ANY contractors to do ****, yesterday i had to assist my wifes landlord at the candy store to patch some broken skylights in the building, his contractors took 15 grand down and havent been seen in about 10 days.
here we go again......

I really hope that Ivan misses you or doesn't hit as bad as the last 2, and not just because I want my stuff. Thanks again.

Earthquakes are few and far between (major one at least). There is no earthquake season, unlike in Florida with Hurricane Season.
