| The Last Night.. (EDIT! SONATA PICS INSIDE) tonight is the last night i'll be a true saturn owner for a long time, if not forever. i'm selling goldie tomorrow morning, paperwork is all done, checks written, keys in hand..
i think back to all the memories of my first car. i originally didn't want it, lol i wanted a forrester for it's leg/headroom, but my dad had suggested saturn on autotrader. turns out for the same mileage and exact same price, goldie was available. i remember the test drive, how everything seemed so "in place", and my eagerness to drive it home, although sorta scared to crash it..
i remember all the long late-night drives home from college, the trips down the shore, into philly, up to NYC, and all the around-town adventures in the snow and window-down sunshine. i remember all the times i cleaned it for the sake of being proud of my saturn. i remember i didnt like it at all in the beginning, but when i found ways to mod it and make it my own, i fell in love with the car.
i'll be more than happy to get the sonata, but i'm this *this* close to shedding a tear, and rightfully i may add. there is nothing like a man's first car, especially when he takes such pride in the ride he drives.
i will remain on here to help out whenever possible, and spread the word of saturn, and who knows? after the sonata craps out, maybe i'll end up with another saturn! but for tonight, it's quiet out, and all is well. i will miss my goldie, my car, but i'm more than thankful for her purchase because without it, i wouldn't have joined Spot, met all the people i did, became friends with some like pat, holly, adam, sleepydave, eddie and like. i think back to the decision to buy a car, and my searching, the test drive, and the 57,000 miles i put on her. thank you goldie, for always being there, i love you
*sigh* i'm such a pathetic sap.
(Edit: I finally got the sonata tonight, 2002-2003 LX every option cept a sunroof ) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wsonata010.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wsonata017.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wsonata015.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...wsonata016.jpg
and btw, everyone says these type of sonatas look like jag's, but this is the front of my dad's benz and i see like 7 similarities.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...97/cousins.jpg |

| Always sad to part with a car... Unless you really didn't like it. Reminds me of Rebecca, that damn '95 Blazer I had, what a dirty tramp she was... Always needing money for this, money for that, blah, blah.
Sorry to hear Goldie will be leaving you. Glad to hear you'll stick around here for awhile.
...And who knows, maybe you'll be like me and come back to the Saturn name.

| I don't know how people part with their cars willingly. It was tough to sell my 97 but I guess sometimes change is a good thing. Bye bye goldie! Make sure the new owners wash you and keep you safe. |

| the eclipse was 4 grand more, with less power, a less plush ride, and less features. i figured for 20K miles, and 10 grand, this was easily the decision to make. i need something more like a "highway cruiser" than a 'sport racer" with all the college driving i do. like i said i don't think i'll name this one just yet, if at all, that may just be a luxury reserved for my satty
but believe me, that GT would've been fricken sweet haha |
