Default My new car is soooo much fun!

I was out cruising in the LTD tonight, and as I made my way along beside the parking lane, some idiot in a Civic coupe pulls halfway out in front of me. So, I get on the brakes, and stop safely. He looks over his shoulder at me,with a glazed look, I wave my hands in the air to say "Well, now what, dumbass?"

He pulls out in front of me, obviously embarassed by his non-gracious entrance into traffic, and then flooooors it! His VTEC gerbils were just screaming away under his faux carbon fiber hood, and long, loud blappy farts emanated from the tail of his not so mean machine.

The best part comes next, though. I decided to hang on his tail for half a block or so, just for kicks, and I didn't even have to push the gas pedal down more than 1/4! The engine was just purring away under the hood, and I didn't even get into the secondaries on my Holley 600.

Man I love this car! Now, if I could just get the horn to work.

Jim

It's got a fairly mild 302 in it. Pretty much stock pre-emissions stuff, except for the 84 H.O. camshaft, Weiand intake, and Holley carb. It's backed up by an AOD trans from an 86 Cougar. Our best guess (and desktop dynos best as well) is about 225-250 at the rear wheels. I'll be swapping out the highway gears for 3.45 or 3.73 gears in the next little while.

Default speaking of horns...

in my old car, the horn must have had a loose connection.
I was sitting in traffic one day, no one could go anywhere at a red light, and my horn starts going off by itself. OMG. Then , driving down the street, it just starts blowing the horn OMG I was kinda laughing, but sometimes, it was embarrassing!!
