Default New DOHC Engines?

I have a 97 Sl2 with a 1.9l Dohc. I just bought the car and the engine has about 136,000 miles on it. I love the car and I am thinkin of buying a brand new or atleast a engine with alot less miles on it. Can I order any online? I did not check ebay yet I plan on doing that right after I post? If I can order any online how much do they normally run? Thanks in advance!

You could talk to Joey at 6th Planet. Send him an email and he usually gets back to you pretty quick. I think usually for a good low mileage engine is $500-800, somewhere around there. Tell him I sent ya from the Spot.

I was thinking about how your current engine could be remanufacturered.

In my area (Near Tampa Bay) there are many engine rebuilders that can use thermal and antifriction coatings, precision balancing equipment, Serdi valve grinders, and all kinds of other equipment, so that when the engine is rebuilt, it is better than when GM built it.
