Default New Saturn Fan...

Hi Everyone,

I'm new around here - just found the site and registered today. Have been on SaturnFans for a week or two. I purchased a 2003 Ion-1 on Feb 20th and absolutely love this car! It has 36K on it and is in great shape - purchased from dealer and got extended 36/36 warranty on it just in case. Paid $7700 on the car plus warranty and the usual bits and pieces for the man.

This car is a complete joy to drive! Of course, I traded in my 1990 Honda Accord (156K), which was in its 19th model year... it was seriously time.

I'm very happy with the performance of this car and cannot believe how good the electric power steering feels at all speeds. I tried doing a quick emergency manuever around 20mph yesterday to see if the assist would kick in and in the flick of an eye it did and than went right back to unassisted (or lightly assisted). I definitely feel safer having dual airbags and a more modern spaceframe design.

The only options are factory air and the 5 speed automatic. Otherwise this will be my commuter love for many years to come. I've bought the Haynes manual (wow, fantastic detail!) and am looking forward to learning how to do all the minor stuff on my own.

Guess that's all for now - sorry so long. Happy to be here. Will be a daily visitor.
