Default PCV valve replacement smooth idle

Well I replaced my PCV valve today along with other tasks. I also replaced the fuel pump flushed the cooling system which I think was the first time and the car has 70k on it and the cooling system was really dirty. I also put in a K&N air filter. Which is mostly the one that made the car idle so smooth. It didn't seem like it had a bad idle before, but now it's so smooth you can't tell the car is running when it's in neutral. The PCV valve had a lot of crud all around it and on it along with the rubber gromet it sits in. That would be crazy if this was caused by the PCV valve as it was the cheapest part at $2.
