Default satty radio way to loud


today i got yelled at by a SgtMaj. (high ranking enlisted marine) because he said my stereo was way to loud and noone wanted to hear my crap music. i didnt think my little saturns stock system could even get loud enough to piss someone off. anyone else ever have a problem with people and play ur music loud? dmn if im pissing people off now with just stock....wait til i get a nice system in there

I have been parked. with truck open around building and a cop came over and told me to turn it down thats when i had my sub and amp...

my dad heard me coming down the road like a block away with my stock stero

then i got my system hah which really pissed people off... then i blew my subs oh well haha

I have a feeling that the saturns aren't as good as some cars at keeping sound in, so it's a lot easier to broadcast what you're listening to.

My system is stock except for my new speakers and one small 4 inch sub and its really loud.

but its not as clear from the outside but hey you still hear it outside so more power to you.

Yeah, my friends mazda is sort of the same way. Like you can hear some of the words and stuff... kinda annoying really. I know this should go in the other forum but is there anything you can do to stop that? dynomat or w/e?

You'd have to do a LOT of soundproofing, such as dynomat. IMO it wouldn't be worth the weight it would add to the car.

Ok thanks. I figured it would take quite a bit of soundproofing but never hurts to ask.
