I saw this in the neighbourhood, never seen it before. 99+ SL with these bumper covers that have bumper guards. I looked closely, and it's a different bumper cover, not pieces stuck on. Have you ever seen it? Took pics with the phone:

They are not add-ons? I had a 99 SL and I never saw this as a option. I know this might sound stupid, but could it be a Canadian model? Some foreign model? I know companies do that. Offer something to one country and something different to another.

I looked very closely, and it is a one piece part with those guards as part of the casting. Around the guard, there is a deep groove below the plane of the bumpercover. This is of course a Canadian model car but I have not seen these bumpercovers before either.

I asked if it could be a Canadian car and then realized after I posted it where you lived! Well that shows that I spend too much time in the Texas heat! Can anyone say brain burn? Is there a owner to speak with?
