Don't do the burnout unless you've got slicks.

Pull PAST the water box and rev to 3 or 4, dump it and chirp the tires. This rotates the tires and cleans them off but doesn't heat them up a lot (many street tires don't perform very well when heated up after a burnout, I was consistantly 1/10 slower WITH a burnout). Only travel a couple feet when you do this.

Launch RPM depends completely on your engine set up and your tires.

You do want to feather the clutch a bit instead of dumping it, as this will keep the engine closer to it's powerband which will keep it from bogging off the launch.

Power shift, don't take your foot off the gas when you shift, and shift fast and don't miss a shift.

Launch when the last amber light goes out, NOT when the green light comes on.

as long as it isnt heads up, reaction time doesnt matter, mind as well just worry about one thing at a time. Sure its fun to catch a perfect or near perfect RT but that probably shouldnt be the focus. You can sit their for 12 seconds and your time slip will still read 12 second, the time isnt tripped till you go
