Default update on my transmission swap

well i got the trans in the gar and it shifted nicely into reverse with no noise and no hesitation. the only problen is the upper pan was damaged somehow. i went to change it with mine and found out it is a 7 bolt pan and mine is a 12 and well it leaks. so at least i have the trans in the car and it runs and shifts kinda clunky right now. but it works. my thanks to joeydounuts and all the other people i got advice from here. now on to the next project with her lower control arms and a waterpump. easy enough though.

thanks bryan

ok here goes the inventor of jb weld is a genius. i coated the hole in the pan with alot of this stuff and let it sit for hours today and then changed the pan over. so far so good no leaks now i can drive the car while i wait for the new pan to get here. one thing i will say is that YES YOU CAN PUT A 99 TRANS IN A 95 CAR AND IT WORKS. i need to let the guys on saturnfans know this. LOL anyway joey the shifting is getting smoother as i drive it. 1st to 2nd is real smooth, but 2 to3 and 3 to 4 are kinda hard and clunky. shifts nice and smooth into reverse though.

well thanks for the advice again joey

well after 125 miles the shifting finally smoothed out. shifts like a new one went out this weekend and put 400 miles on it and did not have any trouble with the trans. car shifts smooth and my gas mileage went from 22 back to 30+ with an auto. hummm imagine that.

the only thing i have to do is realign the subframe because she pulls now. easy fix though
