im runnin 205 but you can fit 215- you may be able to go 225 on stock rims (though i really dont think you can)

oh, and btw- you actually want them bigger on front for a FWD vehicle.....

^^WHAT!?!
205 is the widest you can go without spacers. 215s will fit with spacers and anything larger is not only a waste (the weight will far out weight better handling benefits) but will stick out WAY past the front fender (on an SC, maybe an SL too I duno) and require big spacers and longer studs.

Hey not-so-genius. That's the other post in the s-series section. This one is called, and I qoute: "What are the widest wheels i can go to on my 94 sl2". Doesn't say anything about rear....

I really couldn't care less. 215s won't fit without spacers on the front OR REAR. 205 IS THE BIGGEST YOU CAN FIT WITHOUT SPACERS. End of discussion.

If you want it to look better (but handle like crap if you're only going wide in the rear) get the spacers SPS sells and slap on some 215s or 225s if you want to go all out with studs and big spacers. If you want it to handle good, then get 205s and just put spacers on the rear to fit them closer to the fender.

"Spacers" What the hell are you talking bout? Is the question Wheels or tires, Because I've heard the widest wheel can be an 8" wide rim, regardless of size(diameter) and I've heard of 225 tires on a saturn and no one ever mentioned spacers...So I'm not sure what your talking bout.

ive had about every size wheel on my car

17" wheels with 225s RUB RUB RUB, not on the back though

205 is abotu as wide as you can go on stock rims

i stick to 205/45/16, doesnt kill your acceleratoin like 17s do, and still looks good

Honestly it all depends on the offset of the wheel, Before the wheels I have now I had 18 x 7.5 with a 45mm offset and 215/35 tires and never rubbed once...I changed over to the same size rims and same size tires and the offset is now 40mm and they rub some in the rear during hard cornering or a dip in the road.....is the rubbing enough for me to change them?....Hell No. Do you know what offset your wheels were when you were running the 225's?
