| where do i mount a pair of tires? i ordered a pair of kumho's from tire rack and they should be coming in today-
i read an article at tire rack saying that you should mount new tires on the rear (so you dont loose control as easily)- is this also best in the snow?
the reason i'm asking is that i want to get better traction for the drive wheel, but i don't want to make my car lose control easily
after christmas i will purchase another pair so i dont have to worry about this |

| I would think it'd be best to put them on the driven wheels, which of course is the front in your case. |

| Its best to put your better wheels on the back. Since your not racing im assuming, because of the weather, i would put them on the back. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTiresRear.dos
This is why.
Makes sense i suppose.

| I guess it depends on how bad the tires you have now are. Personally I would the new ones on the front to ease in take off in the snow. |

| Well which do you want more, better drive traction, or control of your car. Honestly, it probably doesnt matter as much in the big scheme of things, because your other tires arent that bad right?
Ive never driven in snow let alone seen it more than 5 times so i cant really tell you where to place it in this situation.
I would just put them in front just becasue it will make your life easier trying to get traction.

| Tire stores will put them on the rear because most people cannot drive. They do not know how to properly control their cars in a panic situation, or when they encounter oversteer, so they put them on the back to keep these idiots out of trouble. |
