Default Who thinks the GM badge is a mistake?

I won't comment. I don't think it's good or bad. I just wanted to say it seems odd that they would all of a sudden put the GM badge on the side of the car, and say it's to show their confidence in the product or the people want reassurance in the brand behind the brand, and all the spins like that. I mean, If it such a good idea, why not all the other GM divisions? Or why not 10 years ago? If they're trying to meld Saturn into the GM family of brands, then why do this thing that makes Saturn different from the other brands? The EV1 had a GM badge on it. Come to think of it, EV1 always falls under Saturn in drop down menus and such, all over the internet. Serendipity. My view of something with a GM badge on it is as something utilitarian, like a crate or a shrink wrap machine. Plus if they still have the Saturn badge somewhere on the car then there are two different names on the car. That's another first.

I think it's pretty stupid, and I hope it's easily removeable.

By the way, the GM badging goes on all divisions, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saab, AND Saturn.

My question is, will they put them on other cars built by GM, like the Isuzu Ascender, which is a rebadged Trailblazer/Envoy?

On the doorsill doesn't count. The Saturns are getting it on the outside where everyone can see it. So it's like a GM Ion. I've never seen a GM Grand Am or a GM Corvette.

The cars from all divisions will be like double-badged - it'll still be a saturn ION. Until I see pix of how they do it, I remain unsure of how I'll like it. Something simple and done in a classy way could be ok. If it's some huge GM badges, I'm not sure I'll like that.

The reason that the EV1 falls under Saturn in so many search things is because they used Saturn dealers to lease it. Saturn had nothing to do with the development or anything else with the car - only a leasing point.
