i bought my sister a set of black altezza taillight for her ion and they look great... so why r they call gay??? btw her ion is black with black windows,i would post pics but don't know how lol

many people don't like them because they're overused, and often don't look good. They can look good, if they're good quality, a good design, and go well with the car, but they often don't meet some or any of those criteria. I see neons, civics, pickups, all sorts of cars around with them, and most of them look worse than stock. Many don't line up right, don't light up right or well, and look very cheaply made.
But, like I said, some can look good. It's also a matter of opinion.
the body colored background ones usually look good, it's the bright silver, chrome, or white ones that look terrible. i'm actually really disgusted that the new sentras (i think) or chevy aveo's or whatever come stock with them. my buddy has a 96 maxima with the chrome altezzas and we broke them open, painted the chrome a dark green to match the body, and now they look like skyline tails for half the price. woo!
ill take a pic tommorrow, i got them on ebay, for 115 shipped instead of 230+ on others websites...i really only bought them couse they were hella cheap
