Since people have been putting them on slow cars for looks. CF hoods can still look hot & not be ricerish, but they're getting overused, so they need something to tie them into the overall look of the car to really look their best.

you know when a CF hood is rice?



when its not really CF.
When its a Black OEM hood.

i wanna buy a CF hood for my car and paint it the same color.

Exaclty.

I don't see the benefits from a performance perspective, since carbon fiber was introduced on cars as a performance mod. I never understood why someone would want to take the weight off the front wheels on a FWD.


As far as looks, it's overdone and has run it's course IMO.

Why would I want to replace my 40lb hood with a 20lb carbon fiber hood on my FWD car?

Because 20lbs will make the difference in acceleration when moving. Thats kind of like saying "dont remove your A/C because you will just rape yourself with wheel hop." Who would take that advice?
