Sky & Solstice hard tops

A company called EDAG is developing and now taking pre-orders for lightweight hatchback hard tops for the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice. The top takes the place of the rear decklid, with the option of also removing the soft convertible top for a more (though not completely) permanent replacement.

Price:
$2,499 MSRP

Weight:
approx 115lbs
*note that you remove the rear decklid - minus 42lbs - a net gain of 73lbs
*you can also remove the soft top assembly - weight unknown, but an unconfirmed source cites a net weight LOSS

Notable features:
Rear window defrost, using stock wiring & button
Lockable rear liftgate for cargo access (as well as greatly increased cargo room!)
Uses existing mounting points & bolts

For some reason I think of a two door dodge magnum. When is seibon going to be making some carbon parts for the sky. I love my friends hardtop on his s2k
