Default How To: Simple Intake for 2.2L Vue

For anyone interested, I did a little tinkering in the garage this past weekend with some of SPOC-OH and we built an intake for my 2005 2.2L Vue out of the intake I kept from my 97 SL2 when I traded her in!

The process - Fairly Simple

--Remove the Stock Intake. This takes some work including pulling out part of the front bumper and getting behind the Passengers wheel well splash guard. I can provide instructions if you need them.
--Cut the S-Series intake about in half. Use the photos below as a guide. the cut will be above the upper radiator hose.
--Shave about 1/2" off of the smaller end of the SL2 silicone reducer.
--Use a piece of Fuel line (about 1/2" ID) to replace the Cam Cover Vent tube.
--Deal with the IAT sensor as you wish. When I get some time I will drill the pipe and put a bushing in it for the sensor. for the moment it is zip-tied to the pipe.

Any Questions, let me know.

And dont forget, the Zip Tie you see is holding the IAT in place until I get a few minutes to drill the pipe and put a bushing in it for the sensor.
