Default Noise at low speed turns

I have a 2004 AWD V6 with 6000miles. When I turn into parking spots I hear a whaaa-whaaa kind of rubbing sound. Haven't had a chance to take it in to service yet. Just wondering if anyone else has heard the same?

You mean, ... Barbara Waaa Waaa ? (Kiddin' ) Mines just 250 miles old so no turning noise. Hey, look under there. Seriously, sometimes a tree branch or the like can get lodged in the wheelwell. ( I've seen it).
But, if it's not anything like that, do check the rack and pinion steering assy.. My L200 had a small oil leak on a seal on it and it wore out prematurely due to lack of oil. The car made a kind of clunking noise when turning to the left. Covered under warranty. Dave

Default Rear end noise

There's a "customer service campaign" for that problem and a replacement rear support.

I would wait on it, I had it "fixed" with this new repair on Nov. 3rd.
NO rear drive. Front wheel spin on wet surfaces. I'm bringing it back this Friday to see what happened. I had this car 8 months. This acts like a FWD car anymore. This better not be the fix.
Will report back on Saturday.

Default RDM "fix"

A few other '04 Vue owners with the new "fix" (after Nov. 3rd) now see much more wheel spin before the AWD kicks in. It has not snowed in NJ yet but I now notice the AWD kick in AFTER a big loss of traction on wet roads.
Much different then the first 8 months. I was actually impressed on my test drive with the (part time) AWD. I would have considered more if I took out my Vue now, after this "FIX".
It may also have something to do with the crummy DONUT tire you get. AWD cars CANNOT have different size wheels.
Other AWD cars has specific instructions if they had a donut. This included no warranty coverage if you did not follow instructions!
AWD is a different beast.. not for the idiot driver. Even riding on a flat could do damage!

Do NOT ACCEPT the RDM replacement unless you have test driven a VUE with the new RDM installed. The new RDM effectively reduces AWD performance to extremely low traction domains only. This results in significantly increased Wheel Spin and overall traction loss. Vues with the new RDM will exhibit increased torque steer, increased wandering under power and abrupt power transfers in low traction environments.
