Dayton meet - March 20th

Over on SaturnFans, we're planning a small meet in Dayton and want to get you guys involved. We don't know exactly where we're meeting or what we're doing, so if any of you have any ideas, speak up. Cookouts have been very successful in the past, but it might not be warm enough for that by the end of the month!

IT IS NEVER TOO COLD TO BAR-B-Q!!!!!!!!! if there is a grill handy, i will handle the cookin'. they call me the grill masta! you don't get this healthy by missing meals!! (i have a feeling i just opened myself up for ridiculement...f#ck it!)

Yes, the 20th is a Sunday.

We'll be meeting between 11 and noon (come whenever you like) at the back of the parking lot for the air force museum - follow the signs to "RV and oversize vehicle parking" and look for a herd of Saturns.

The museum is open 9-5, and admission is free if we choose to go inside. I do not know if we will be able to grill outside, but I'll try and drive down there tomorrow and check it out.

There's a huge field where we can fly kites or remote airplanes or whatever, so maybe we can do some grilling there? I'll have to talk to some museum staff about it, of course, but I'll try and get us hooked up.

If you get there and see a herd of Saturns but no owners, we probably went inside or are otherwise hiding from you. Give me a call at 469-1801 - Dayton area code. (Not posting full number on here, just in case.

WTF is this! Everyone is meeting at the palce I work, and I WONT BE THERE! I am talking to Kat and workign on all the details, questions, do's and dont's. TTYL BTW, I wont be there because I will be in Toronto Next Tuesday to sunday.

ALSO, just as a warning. For those who do attend, be smart while drivign on the grounds! The museum is technically part of the base, there for federal property monitored by base security forces (MP's). Do not screw around on the couple of sections of runway that you can get to. Everything is heavily monitored with cameras (that can read license plates) and they do follow through with dealing with people who are caught (and they always are). Also, on the weekends the grounds are patrolled by MP's and museum security. The MP's will not hesitate in arresting you for messing around on base grounds and security will not hesitate in kicking you out and/or callign in MP's. This probably sounds like a threat, b ut I just want to give everyone a heads up since there are many areas around the buildings and runways that are very inviting to drag race, DONT DO IT!
