That makes me cringe to hear that... the L81 is deffinatly not supperchargeable material and heres why.... if you add a supercharger that will void your warrenty correct..... so now your with out a warrenty.
the timming belt snaps in that engine ALL THE TIME... (i know this because i work at Capitol Cadillac and we get Cateras with this problem every day... they have the same engine as the L-300s). and it wouldent be such a big deal if it wernt an interferance engine... this means if the timming belt goes, Mr. Pistion says hello to Mr. Valve...and it dosent end there.... the bent valve messes up the valve guides, and that messes up the head... and on occation i've seen the pistions need replacing as well.... so anyone planning on supercharging a L81 engine better be in for paying out ALOT of money getting another desaster wating to happen.....
