I have always named my cars based on their perceived personalities. I had Bubbles (big white Concorde) and Eeyore (blue/purple Olds) and Baby (Pontiac Sunfire) and now Blue (SL2). I feel kind of bad for naming her Blue, but she's a pretty average car and hasn't had any issues or anything that sets her apart from a thousand other SL2s. Do you name your cars?

I had to laugh at this thread. Several years ago, I dated a guy who called every single car he ever owned "Betsy". I remember thinking at the time that he was the only person outside of the movies that I had known to name a car. By reading this thread, I guess a lot of people actually do name their cars.

I've met a couple people who named their cars, but many of them also owned boats which obviously are also named. I'd find it rather odd to call them all Betsy though. I figure they all deserve a different name.

That is too funny, you know every car my mother owned had the same name? It did not matter what type of car it was either. I have named some of my trucks in the past, but for a fix-r-upper (a 92 Buick Park Ave) her name is "The Beast" and oddly enough for a car that odd, runs quite well.
I am thinking my next car has to have a good creepy name as I have yet to go the creepy route. The newest car we have now (a family car) is just called "Car". |

The only cars I have ever really named were ones that the names were unrepeatable. There was one that would only start if you were nice to it, I swear. She was the most cankerous piece of junk I ever owned.
My current car kind of has a name. She is 'special car' named by my little one when she first saw it. |
