Default Loud "roar" from right rear

2000 station wagon bought used had noise from right rear. Didn't know if it was a bearing, broken tire belt or what so bought new tires. Made it worse!
Took it to dealership & they checked bushings & suspension. Tech couldn't find anything wrong. I just had a hunch & asked if he thought alignment might be the cause, so had a 4- wheel alignment done, PROBLEM GONE.
Hope this helps someone.
