Hi, I have a 2000 Saturn LS2 V6 with 115,000 miles on it. I've never driven it in harmful ways and the fastest I've ever gone is 75mph.
Recently, whenever I go up a hill(mainly) or sometimes(rarely) simply accelerating, my engine begins to shake, VIOLENTLY, it really feels like it's about to explode. It only stops when I let go of the gas, and it stops immediately, but as soon as I apply the gas, it starts shaking. It's never done this up until recently. Also, I don't hear anything to indicate engine damage in any form, no knocking or anything of that nature. I've found that using some fuel injector cleaner seems to stop it for about a month, then the problem comes back. Does anyone know what this could be and how to fix it? Someone told me "oh it's bad gas", is that possible? Also, when I turn it on, the "Change oil soon" light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes away. Could this be related? Would changing the oil help? I think I'm about 1000 miles past when I'm supposed to have gotten it changed. This is because I've moved and just haven't had the time, before that I was always on time with oil changes. Thank you for looking! Last edited by mrfreeziexp; 03-03-2008 at 11:07 PM. |

I doubt that the oil has anything to do with it. If you are due for an oil change good idea to get it done.
Have you ever changed the fuel filter? If not that could casue a misfire under load. Is the SES light on or does it come on when the problem is happening?

Thanks for the update.
Have you hit anything or anything hit you under the car recently that may have caused the shaft to bend?
