My has an '01 SL2. Back in Nov. the sunroof broke. We took it in to the saturn dealership. They said the motor had burned out & replaced it. We took it home open & closed the sunroof a couple of times, it worked fine. Winter comes & haven't used the sunroof until a couple days ago.
A couple days ago my wife opens the sunroof & it doesn't close properly. We take it back in & the service dept. says the hole track assembly needs to be replaced.

1. Could the track assembly have been damaged when the motor was replaced?

2. Could the track assembly have been the cause of the motor burining out in the first place?
