Default 2000 LS2 serpentine belt. HOW TO REPLACE?

I replaced the alternator on my 2000 ls2 yesterday and was going to replace the serpentine belt but i couldn't get it off. It looks like i have to unbolt the motor mount, jack up the motor and try to slide the belt between the timing chain cover and the block. The chilton's manual doesn't say anything about this but I'm pretty sure this is what I have to do.

Has anyone done this repair before?

thanks.

The assumption of the V6 rather than the four cylinder.

The engine mount does need to be removed to replace the belt.

The four cylinder doesn't.

Default Serpentine belt

I have a 1998 SW1. I take off the passenger side tire and shielding to get to the tensioner pulley. It seems like extra work but makes it go quickly compared to reaching down the side of the engine.
