Default VERY interesting new Astra option...

See anything a bit different about this Astra? (this is the Vauxhall version, and the difference isn't that it's a Vauxhall)

Look closely....

see it?

Try this angle:

good call, i wonder if it would have the same rigid-yet-flexible frame that the modern windshields do, what i mean to say is would it hold up to the same amount of impact and still be shatter-proof etc..

plus you can see bird poop falling from a mile away

One article I found on it said that it holds up as well as or better than a regular metal roof. Also good to note is that there is a shade that slides down to give cover over the extended part, and it looks like there are sun shades on it, so you wouldn't have to be blinded.

As long as it's got the shade you mentioned, I think it'd be welcomed by many.

My moonroof (when working) is more along my personal preference though, gives that nice open-air feeling.

Maybe in a 2 door, but the hatch is gay. Then again I don't care much for the styling.

There's no way I could do that glass roof, especially with the hot ass summers.

I was thinnking the same. That glass is gonna cost a fortune to replace, and consequently the insurance for comprehensive on that car would be quite a lot more than similar cars that don't have that.
