The Saturn Astra
http://www.saturnspot.com/astra1.jpg The Exterior http://www.saturnspot.com/astra2.jpghttp://www.saturnspot.com/astra3.jpghttp://www.saturnspot.com/astra4.jpg SaturnSpot.com had an exclusive up close look at the pre-production model of the Saturn Astra! I must say... it looks promising! This vehicle, which was inspired by Opel, will be available in a 3-Door and 5-Door model. The Astra is said to be very similar to that of the European brand's vehicle. If you enjoy the European look and feel but want to go American, this is certainly the car for you. More pictures to come, including high-resolution! |

they still haven't announced anything other than the 1.8L ecotec w/140ish hp. That said, it'll be about the same hp and weight as an Ion. They're bound to do a higher performance version. They're also looking at brining one of the diesel engines over from europe, if they can meet the ever-changing diesel restrictions in the US.

A redline version was actually one topic of discussion seeing that the people buying this type of vehicle know exactly what they want and especially from hearing from the community on here would certainly like more power and modification capabilities.
There wasn't any 'yes there is going to be a redline.' However this is still even pre-production so anything is still possible. I'd actually love to see it in a redline as well. |
