I have a '03 that has a little problem with the passenger side power mirror unwilling to move facing the ground. I was told by the dealership that the mirror and housing/w motor would have to be completely removed and replaced. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is true or can I just replace the motor on the mirror? And if so what would be the procedure to do so. Any assistance would be most helpful.
Thanks.

There are, so far as I know, no service parts availible for the mirror motor mechanisms. So yes the entire unit would need to be replaced. The mirror glass is likely the only seperate component that you could get.
Try a wrecking yard.
