Thanks for the opinion. I appreciate the reply. I don't know a lot about this particular fault myself, but from talking to someone familiar with servicing Hybrids, I was led to believe that a more likely cause is the electronic module that controls Hybrid battery charging, a current sensor or a battery imbalance. And that sounded fairly reasonable I guess. Transmission never came up in the discussion. When the problem is resolved I will post the details on what was done.
