dude, blur out your license plate to keep goalie from stopping by in the middle of the night and keying your cover. Seriously there are a lot of creepy people on the net.....

Now about making that dipstick handle orange.......

looks nice

I feel like the 3.5l v6 should be outlined, but it looks great!

not sure what goalie means by outlined.
You could mask off the entire orange section around the 3.5 L V6, including the orange between the letters that is flush with the main surface. Then paint the numbers and letters in black. Not just the tops but the raised sides too.

I'm no spray painter but you'll have to do those raised sides keeping the can really moving to get many thin coats on there without getting runs. Patience....

Just a thought. You would have done it in this order anyway.....

you could buy s junkyard one (even another brand) with a bunch of writing on it and practice.....just do in quick but controlled passes, keeping the can the same distance from the target (like you see auto painters do with the gun). If you let the distance from the target vary (swing the can in an arc motion), you'll end up depositing more paint in some spots than others, and run the risk of runs on vertical surfaces.

Actually, no one says you can't paint the raised sides separately from the tops of the letters by standing the cover on edge, making the vertical surfaces magically horizontal. The only problem with this approach is that it may lead to uneven paint distribution around the four sides and a bit of a wierd "seam" around the top of the raised portions. The top color would match but you'd likely see a difference in texture. So actually don't do that.

Is that type of paint available in a form you could hand paint?

i'd have to see if they have a paint engine enamel dunno if they do but i'd still have to practice because you need really steady hands to do it i'm sure... seems like it wouldn't be an easy task either way lol but would look sweet
