I'm thinking the cheapest way to go would be to get the coolant topped up. If the light still comes on, the next cheapest is to pull the reservoir and rinse it with dish soap to free up the float. I'm hoping solution #1 works lol

NOW I have a tick tick tick noise when I turn on the blower fan. It goes off if I disengage the recirculate button. If I "fiddle" with it I can get it to quit, even with the recrculate on. Just another sign that my little SW2 is starting to feel her age, I guess. She does, after all, "turn" 19 in a week.

Yea, that would be the cheapest route.
Any update?

LS4 throttle body and interceptor on the way!

None, yet, Billy. I've not yet taken the car in for an oil change. Will try to get that (and the fluid top-off) completed today or tomorrow.

Update

Added a "water wetter" type solution that contains inhibitors just like coolant and, so far, the low coolant light has not come on again. If all remains the same, my guess seems to have been correct that the coolant level wasn't really low but *just* low enough to affect the float when the coolant was cold. I added only 1/2 bottle to the reservoir (6 ounces, I think), so it's not as if the coolant level was actually low.

Keeping fingers crossed that a couple of $$ "solved" what wasn't really a problem but was a nuisance !

Alright guys. A lot has changed. I am finally tuned, but need to dyno the car again.

2.7 pulley, 60 pound injectors, k&n intake, ls4 throttle body, mid length header, catted down pipe, zzp 2.5 in cat back with resonator and magnaflow muffler, phenolic spacer, option b, and dual pass.
I put down 228/221 with a blown intercooler pump. I should be somewhere in the 260 range though now that those temps are down.

Currently I am tapped out on doing anything else major.
So for now, I am going to work on the appearance.

Fixed the window trim and did a crown royal bag shift boot mod.
Next is going wingless.
Ordered a projector kit, so going to retrofit the headlight, and if they turn out good, do retro fog lights.
Painting the fog light bezels silver, and paint the fake vents on the side silver as well.

Future plans consist of:
3 in intake
water injection
2.6 pulley
gasket matched header
ported supercharger
polished throttle body

Wow, Billy. You've been busy !

I initially stopped at plugs/wires/throttle body/ motor and transmission mounts/new tires.

Still had a cold start vibration so I changed out the thermostat.

Maybe ECTS is the next thing.

Most probably, if I were to take it into a shop with the same small "complaints" the service ticket would come back reading "C.T.H.S I.A.J." (Customer Thinks his Saturn Is A Jaguar lol)
