Default SL1 Overheating, Fan Works, New Radiator, Water Pump, Heater Core Flushed

This is so weird. One night driving home in my 2001 SL1, the saturn starts to over heat almost to the red line. but, when I turned on the heat on the passenger compartment, it blew cool. No heat like usual. I'm thinking, no coolant. right? Wrong.

Finally got it home. Coolant was filled to the Top. Here is the weird thing.
Tested the fan with AC, it turns on. Flushed the heater core. Green anti-freeze came out. There was no clogs. I went ahead and replaced the Thermostat, radiator and water pump. Fixed, Right? Wrong. Same issues.

Temp Gauge starts showing hot, like 3/4 after the half mark. Saturns usually run just below the half mark. The first time in my life I am stumped with a Saturn. Help?

Is it smoking? Could be a head gasket.
You sure the fan is kicking on?

Is there a kink in the hoses anywhere?

Exclamation Resolved!

You won't believe it. Upon driving that night, the thermastat came apart! A piece of the thermostat lodged into the upper hose of the radiator. It was found with a scope camera. After the removal, runs like a champ! All I can say is wow. I love my Saturns.

That's certainly a new one. I was going to suggest warped head since that happens on the SOHC ones.
