Default Need help with lights on 02 sl2 a/c unit

Hey everyone I was wondering how do you change the lights on the part AC for a Saturn SL2 also how hard is it to change the color of the instrument cluster on the front and how hard is it to take that out because my lights are starting to go out on that too

It's just one of the bulbs broke out on the bottom I've already taken the old one out and it seems like I can solder a new one in place I just don't know how to plus I want to know if it's possible to exchange that one with an LED light instead of a factory one

Check out superbriteled. They should have replacements, I know they do for the ions.

They do have led lights for the s series but is it that difficult to switch them over to LEDs?

LEDs will often be too bright for some applications.
For something you look at that infrequently it's not worth it

I have not done this yet, but need to as well, which is why I haven't posted an answer.

I think you need to remove the center console cowl, remove the radio (don't lose the rear wiring connectors into the abyss) and remove the front cover of the AC unit to properly access the bulbs for replacement.

I wouldn't think soldering is --I would think the bulbs were socketed. I do not know which bulb is the replacement.

Maybe I'll go rip mine apart as part of my dash bulb replacement project if I ever get to it.

Surf the net hard and you will find someone w step by step to accomplish this task

You cannot replace the bulbs unfortunately so I just went to the scrap yard and got a spare unit for cheap that's your best bet with this thing because I did try soldering the lights and it did not work
