Remove the door skin and find the broken plastic clip.

Welcome to the Board.

You are going to have remove the outer door panel to get the window regulator. It probably come loose from the door frame.

Default door skin removal

I'm trying to remove my sl2 outer door skin and most of the torque nuts seem to only want to turn about a quarter. What's up?

sorry, missed this one.
Use a ratchet w a torx bit., You'll never get them with just a hand held driver.

They've also either never been removed since the factory or possibly a previous owner crossthreaded them.

They can be quite stubborn on the first removal.
