Default Help with 2004 2.2L Auto Transmission

Will a transmission from a 2006 2.2L AT work in a 2004 2.2L AWD? I cant find any transmissions that are not under 2500 for a 2004.

Well, for starters, the 04 AWD has a rear driveline and I doubt the tranny in the 2006 FWD Vue has provisions for one --- though I've been wrong before. I would think they are two different transmissions.

Additionally, the 04 AWD's PCM and likely BCM would have a cow. Feedback from wheel slippage would prompt an attempt to send power to the rear wheels, which is impossible.

So then you'd have to look into swapping the PCM to match the 2004 engine and the 06 AT. This will likely only be possible if the AT in the 06 was used in 04.

And then there's wiring harnesses.......

Not everything I mentioned WILL be an issue, but they COULD...and some are showstoppers, so you need to do your research BEFORE you start.
