Default 93 sc1 sohc oil pressure relief valve

I'm looking to replace my oil pressure relief valve. Can someone recommend a way to easily remove and replace it without special tools?

Out of curiosity why?

Once you have the timing chain cover off of the engine and the oil pump cover off of the chain cover you can remove the pressure relief valve with a small screw driver or pick. make sure that you don't damage the bore. Tap the new one in place with a socket (or similar) that is the same size (diameter) as the valve.

Default oil press. valve

Oil pump went bad. I was putting large amounts of oil to compensate for low PSI. Manual said that in low PSI situations the press. relief valve had to b changed along w pump. I think that the purolator classic oil filter I installed some time ago killed my oil pump. Too restrictive! As I do this repair can u drop me some FYI's that the book may not cover during the repair process?
Tks for ur reply.
