Default electrical problems

i have a 99 sc2 when i first bought the car the seller mentioned a few things that didnt work i didnt care they were all minor now later i look to fix those things (passenger power mirror control, power door lock switch, dome light, map lights and trunk light) all run off the same fuse there was no fuse i went to replace the fuse and it would instantly blow any fuse put in i even tried a 30 (calls for 10 or 15) that didnt blow right away but it started to smoke from behind my heat control i pulled the fuse it blew and havent done a thing with it sense any help or ideas would be great

You have a short in the wiring, you will need to pull out the dash to access the area in question. It is a big job for a small return, worth doing but it can take most of a weekend if you work at my pace. A mechanic will kill your budget on this type of problem.
