Default Will a 96 sc2 motor and trans install smoothly with a 95 sc2?

Both cars are DOHC-i just bought the 95 for parts but decided to try and switch motors out-will it line up with 96?

Every will will bolt up and fit fine. Externally the blocks and transmission cases are the same. On the engine you will want to swap over all the electronics and wiring harnesses. Basicly swap bare blocks. I can't remember for sure but with the trans you may run problems with gearing. Between 95 and 96 there may have been gear ratio changes which could cause problems. This will be more so if they are automatics. If manuals then maybe only if you have a cruise control.
