Question singel cam to twin cam


was up every one i had the saturn with the air feul ratio problem and it took its toll the motor is dead so im doing s swap from a singel cam to a twin can any advice or helpful tips thank

ok so i got the motor in an every thing hooked up along with all kinds of new parts. but wen i go to crank the motor it wont crank an i no is got enough power to crank cuz the wires to the starter got so hot from tryin that in started to smoke an ideas on wat could cause this problem

Will the engine turn over by hand?
IE ratchet and socket on the crank pulley bolt and turn the engine.

ya i tried cranking it by hand it will but once i turn the key i have to turn the motor backwards by hand so what ever is stopping it will let go but after that it will spin freely in both directions till i crank the key again i think the started is fried

hey every 1 the motor is in and running great any one thats says it not just plug and play is not totaly wrong but i had aftermarket parts on the car an thats all i had to really modify o and i had to rig a starter switch cuz the ecu dosent understand its in a manual but o well is kinda cool so any one looking to do this swap is alot of hard work and time but it is totaly worth it the new twin cam is a monster with the sohc trans and i am very happy with the resalt ps pic are avalibale of the swap on my profile in my albums have fun

the starter wasn't bad the ecu wouldn't let it start and in needed to be shimmed

Are you using the SOHC PCM?

no wen i picked up my motor from my local junk yard i got the twin cam ecu with it. the one i have is for an automatic but it still work and doing it this way also kills the fuel cut off a 105 so im waying the good and bad basicly
