Not really -- that was Goalie's suggestion. I appreciate your quite honorable offer. But I live in PA, the logistics suck costwise.

It's all yours -- as long as he still has it.....(?)

Not sure about this line you speak of. When an item is for sale it, it stays that way until someone buys it. No where in my ad did I claim I would hold it or accept a deposit. When someone arrives army house and buys it I will update the board.

That being said, if a fellow board member is making a dedicated trip from another state as mentioned in a prior reply, I obviously will make arrangements to accommodate him.

Not sure where you learned how to buy and sell. I have done nothing dishonorable. You never sent me any payment. You stated you would drive here next week posing. I told you to check first to insure I still owned it. You replied okay, not can I send you payment or can you hold it? Your interest seemed passive at most. Selling to a physical person with cash doesn't make me dishonorable.

did you offer to hold it if he sent you a deposit?

I'd think with such little interest in the product, a non-passive seller would have asked him so as to lock him in as a buyer.

The reason I made that post in the first place is because I saw exactly how you worded your reply, and I wanted to alert my fellow forum member to your open door policy with regards to the fact that that part might go right out that open door to someone else without him ever knowing.

Buying and selling across the net with no structure (like ebay has) is bound to end up with wrong assumptions, missed expectations, and fundamental misunderstandings.

Personally, if I negotiate a final price with someone, that's it -- a FINAL PRICE. Not a FINAL PRICE for you, while I run around trying to negotiate another better FINAL PRICE with someone else.

With ebay, the highest bidder wins.
This intrinsically means ALL BIDDERS CAN SEE ALL OTHER COMPETITIVE BIDS.

IF you find someone else interested in it, do you chuck your whole agreement with buyer #1 over the fence, or do you give them the courtesy of placing a counteroffer? I guess "over the fence" is the answer

Burro was willing to pass the whole deal to me because I was 1st in line for it in his mind. That's called courtesy.

The same courtesy you could have shown him if you WERE about to sell it out from under your arranged deal.

Just keep living your life the way you do; one less strut brace on the market. BFD

To be clear, I received several emails and PMs about the strut tower brace. Most if not all were "tire kickers". If anyone was going to take the time to drive to Las Vegas to inspect and possibly buy it, I would not allow it to be seen by anyone else until the traveler had a chance to see it.
