Are you talking about the third reverse light in the window? I cant think of anything else back there.

Third reverse light? usually I keep a red lens in that light and keep it wired to the BRAKES.

(sorry --- too easy)

Glad to hear you are mostly rattle free.
Is the trunk lid resonating (buzzing on its own)or is it making contact with something else and rattling?
If it is truly resonating you can probably get away with either adding some small weight in a few places to the underside of the trunk lid to lower the resonance frequency.
If it is truly rattling, can you pinpoint where the noise is coming from?

Sorry I take so long to respond, I've been really busy lately. After this semester is over I'm going to be putting 18" wheels, new suspension components (might drop it), and some more audio stuff during this winter break. However my car doesn't have a third reverse/brake light . I'm talking about the plastic interior piece behind the rear seats that you would have to remove to get to the rear speakers. I can post a picture of it a little later so you guys can see what I'm talking about. The bottom line is that I get a lot of rattle out of the trunk/rear seat area. I'm going to add some dynomat then rubber washers on every bolt and go from there.

**** I just lost an excellent post regarding resonances, wave propagation, and other useful info. Not retyping it, sorry.

Anyway the takeaway was that bull-rushing the rubber washers may not be such a good idea for 2 reasons

1) You may create issues that were not there when you started
2) Even if you are going to do it SOLELY for physical separation of parts, the rubber will still transmit the very low frequencies (and the associated energy they carry) right on through to whatever you're trying to isolate.

I would suggest a replace-as-needed approach

but that's just me
