Default THANKS noob alarm dome light problem

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this board, past and present, for helping me fix my car Saturday, May 9th.
I LOVE my 2005 Ion 3 Quad Coupe, 103K miles. The alarm was going off randomly when I set it with the fob like normal for the previous 3 days. Saturday morning the dome and map lights starting blinking on and off, then wouldn't go off at all even with me out of the car. I was freaking out (single mom here).
I googled my problem, came to this board, discovered an issue that many have had, spent $10.83 and replaced both door jamb switches. Viola! problem solved.
I had also used this board a long time ago to solve my leaky sunroof problem (cut the plugs off the drain tubes) which also probably caused this latest problem because when I took the plug out on the passenger side, it was full of rust. Funny how you have to break the plugs to get them out, that scared me for a bit.
My neighbor came out to thank me for taking care of the alarm then had me show him what I did.
Thanks again for all the help and information.
