I'm gonna ask mod to move this to the general tech section for s cars since we long ago stopped discussing you as a new member. So if it vanishes from here just tell him to search on your username and your posts.

Ironic; I stumbled upon the reason for his problem, and it turns out to be not so isolated an occurrence at all.

Position F5 on the IPJB is where the battery feed comes in to supply current to the IPJB. With cigarette lighters drawing constant current (for which they were NOT designed, and stereos and other aftermarket items drawing "always on" power, the F5 male terminal(s) in the fuse box overheat and melt the plastic, the terminal, the plastic to the terminal, etc and electrical continuity is gone to things like the FUEL PUMP, Radio, CHIME, etc.

Since the installer was working w the battery connected, only one short to that terminal could have finished it off.

Fuel pump is fine -- just doesn't get any current.

Fix is to clean it up and respring the female connector for the pin to maximize tension of the connection. Or get a new fuse box but that is $$ or time in a junkyard.

But I think his fit this to a T.
