That's my thought too. After doing this with the TB on, I found that I was not able to clean it as well as I wanted to and it was a pain in the a** to get the car started after I cleaned it. I plan to buy a new gasket for the TB and will take it off and clean it next weekend.

Also, I wanted to suggest to people who do the TB cleaning while the TB is on the car, you might want to check your spark plugs after you clean the TB and get the car running again. Mine were fouled pretty badly from all the crap that was in the combustion process after the cleaning. Take them off, clean the electrodes and re-gap them. Then re-install. Do so on a cold engine, of course.

My 94 SC2 is back from the dead... but it's still on life support.
