Saturn Astra 5-door (200 with pictures and wallpapers

I just can not see me in this car with 126 lbs of torque and 138hp all at 2921lbs with a 1.8L manual. HP to weight it is less then twin cam S-Cars, and the ION 2.2L. Can you say dog?, they should have named it after the dog from the Jetsons, Rastro. This car is no "sport compact" as all are saying.

Mark my words this car will not sell, no,no,no,no, no hp, no torque, no sedan, no gas mileage, and over priced.

Thanks for making that prediction AFTER it's no longer available. Congratulations, you were right!

My apologies, I did not see that part with the date inside the post, but what do you mean for once in my life? Do I do this a lot? Sound like myself? What does that mean? Like the myself persona is one of missing dates in posts? Have I done this so many times it's what I am?

Well I thought I could deal with a sporty "looking" hatchback that handled well. Problem is it's not sporty enough to make up for the lack of power, no cup holders, no armrest, and no sedan. After two years mine is gone to someone that needs a city car.

I never said Opel could not build cars. I never said GM could not build cars in the U.S. I said the ASTRA as it was brought over would not sell, and I listed my reasons. Now all these years later subject comes up again, and still I was 100% right. The Astra lasted one year! That's "ONE" year.

Now for the press that said the car was "sport compact". I say they are a bunch of azzwipes that only repeat what they heard or read that some other azzwipe said in a review. The Saturn Astra is hardly on par with other "sport" compacts in the handling dept. It's just an under powered compact that lacks hp and torque to get in trouble. So those that think they are drivers love the way it goes...slow around the auto x.

I went out and picked up a Kia Forte hatchback. It blows the astra out of the water.

Ah, and the love of the Saturn Astra I'm sure continues to this day.
I've never actually seen an Astra on the road (or pulled off to the side).

I'd like to see how many of those overheated on test drives back and forth on 70 and I470 near Wheeling WV. Probably had to downshift to second and use the hazards,
