I drove 98% highway and was getting 42mpg on a 700 mile trip. Only had to put gas in twice! With a 10 gallon tank, this car is amazing cheap to drive.

10 gallon tank ............ you may want to check your specs again.

My '93 sc2 also has a 10 gallon tank (yes, I've verified this by the car completely empty and filling it all the way up, 10.2 gallons). Since the odo is broke I can only guess the mileage but through driving to and from known spots, I get around 30mpg mixed.

Ok 10-4 good buddy as long as your the one that verified that. Now you can contact GM and tell them the specs they have been posting for Saturn S-Cars all these years is wrong.

Sarcasm aside, what *should* the capacity be? I'm not saying GM is wrong but I have personaly verified that, yes, my tank is 10gallons. I really find this amusing because when gas was at $4 a gallon, I could fill my tank to the tippy top for ~$40.00 (and that was driving 20 miles out of my way to get gas 15 cents cheaper per gallon).

P.S., If you would like, I'll come out to your neck of the woods and you can fill up my tank so you can verify the 10 gllon capacity for yourself.

Fuel tank capcity is approx 12.5 US gallons. If you are judging the capacity on the gauge level it may not be 100% accurate. Even if you run it completely out of fuel and refill you may not get the full 12 gallons into it. It should be close though.

Agreed on the gas guage not being truely "accurate". When I fill my car up, the gauge stays in the upper 3/4~full mark for the first 150 miles or so, then plummets to the 1/4 mark over the next ~100miles then runs forever in the red zone. Once you get to the point where the needle wont even move, then ya fill in 10.2 gallons and repeat the cycle.
