Default starter n/g help,please.


I got a 2000 Saturn ls2 v6 126.000 miles car runs good. Before starter went bad. I got the top torx bolt out of starter I'm having trouble with the bottom one my question is to get to this bolt out do I have to remove the cat and remove the header. This is what it looks like to me.i need your expertise to confirm. Please help me

Default starter n/g

well since no one has done this before job. Here is how is done. You take the runners out.tqke the top bolt from the starter out then raised the car and with a long 3/8 extension and swivel and a e14 socket. You can pull out the bolt. I had to take to the shop cause it needed to be raised high enough to work from the bottom to get the starter out.i hope this helps the next person who needs the info.

Never had a L, never will have a L, so I never took a starter out of a L, and never will take a starter out of a L. Seeing those are the facts I didn't reply, seeing so few use this forum you didn't get a reply. I do guess your not the first to remove a starter from a L.

but outstanding information, should of taken pictures and did a video.
