Hey guys, I'm new here, but have been a Saturn owner since 1993, but our 04 Ion has an issue, it has a heck of a rattle up front, I thought it might be a broken strut, or strut mount, or maybe the brakes were worn enough and the anti rattle clip wasn't doing it's job, but when I apply the brakes it still rattles, it seems to drive weird too. I'm thinking the suspension has a problem, but don't know where to look, we had it put on the rack but still couldn't find anything.
This one sure has me stumped I won't tell the wife but I think the thing is unsafe, but no problems has accured as of yet. Really don't have a clue. |

Welcome to the Board.
Possible sources. Sway bar to strut links. Sway bar to frame bushings. Lower control arm rear bushings slipped out of place and hitting the frame. The control arm should be sitting above the frame.

No ,I guess we should have bought the extended, I'll have to get under it and take a look at it.
Is it common for these things to go out that soon? it's mostly highway miles that are on the car, the wife does most the driving, I've been trying to get her to trade it for a redline vue. Does anybody have any pictures of this? or what I need to maybe replace? Last edited by 98S10-SS; 01-08-2008 at 02:39 PM. |
